Building an Ongoing Hiring Pipeline for a Scaling Indian Startup's Engineering Team
The Challenge
A fast-growing Indian startup needed to hire engineers continuously as it scaled, but its founders were spending too much time on sourcing and screening instead of building the product. Building an internal talent-acquisition function felt premature for the stage the company was at, yet the hiring couldn't wait.
Our Approach
Alliance International's RPO team embedded a dedicated recruiter who worked as an extension of the startup's own team, running sourcing, screening and first-round interviews against a shared hiring plan reviewed monthly. The startup's founders stepped in only for final-round interviews, with the recruiter adjusting search criteria in real time as the product roadmap shifted priorities between hiring needs.
The Outcome
The startup kept a steady flow of qualified engineering hires each month without its founders stepping away from product work, and scaled the RPO engagement up and down as hiring needs changed quarter to quarter.
