Primary Responsibilities :
Responsibility:-
- Bulk Carrier Operation knowledge and experience is required
- Chartering or Fixing ocean freight for Time Charter or Voyage Charter
- Negotiation of the Charter Party
- Voyage Estimations
- Weekly market review and making an internal report
- General sales action for building a relationship with our customer and client
- Review and Analysis of Voyage profitability
Fixing of COA and/or CVC, FFA contract and renewal
Experience Requirements:
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in chartering, shipping, or freight forwarding.
- Proven track record in managing chartering operations and negotiations.
Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of maritime regulations, shipping industry trends, and market dynamics.
- Familiarity with chartering agreements and maritime law.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to evaluate and optimize chartering strategies.
Technical Proficiency:
- Proficiency in using chartering software and tools for route planning and operational management.
- Familiarity with freight forwarding and logistics management systems.
Communication:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, partners, and internal teams.
- Ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
Team Management:
- Experience in managing and leading a team, with strong leadership qualities.
- Ability to train and mentor junior staff members.
Attention to Detail:
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and contracts.
Adaptability:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
Networking Skills:
- Established relationships within the maritime industry and a strong network of contacts.
