Agriculture Engineer

 Design agricultural machinery components and equipment, using computer-aided design
technology.
 Test agricultural machinery and equipment to ensure adequate performance.
 Provide advice on water quality and issues related to pollution management.
 Conduct on job training programs that provide farmers with information that can help them
improve agricultural productivity.
 Discuss plans with consultants and other engineers so that they can be evaluated and
necessary changes made.
 Plan and direct construction of irrigation, drainage systems for soil and water
conservation.
 Design food processing plants and related mechanical systems.
 Prepare reports, sketches, working drawings, specifications, proposals and budgets for
proposed fields.
 Design sensing, measuring, recording devices and other instrumentation used to study
plant life.
 Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.
