Primary Responsibilities :
The Technical Designer – Furniture & Interiors serves as the critical bridge between creative design intent and physical production. You will be responsible for creating fully dimensioned furniture shop drawings, joinery elevations, sections, cut-lists, and technical specifications used directly by our factory craftsmen, vendors, and site execution teams
1 TECHNICAL DRAFTING & WORKING DRAWINGS Prepare detailed working drawings for bespoke furniture and interior projects using AutoCAD. Convert 3D concepts and sketches into precise, fully dimensioned technical drawings.
2 FACTORY & PRODUCTION OUTPUT Create production-ready shop drawings that can be directly utilized by factory carpenters and supervisors. Ensure complete manufacturing feasibility, structural integrity, and ergonomic accuracy.
3. FURNITURE & JOINERY DETAILING Draft comprehensive furniture drawings, elevations, sections, joinery details, and assembly schemes. Specify materials, hardware components, veneers, lacquers, and surface finish callouts. 4.
4 VENDOR & CROSS-TEAM COORDINATION Coordinate with interior designers, production managers, site teams, and specialized vendors. Resolve technical site and factory queries to maintain design intent and execution quality
Experience Requirements:
Education: Professional qualification in Interior Design, Furniture Design, Technical Drafting, Industrial Design, or a related discipline. Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in preparing technical furniture shop drawings and interior working drawings. Software Mastery: AutoCAD (Advanced Drafting & Detailing) SketchUp MS Office Domain Expertise: Thorough understanding of furniture construction techniques, wood joinery, hardware mechanisms (e.g., Blum, Hafele, Hettich), material properties, and interior execution workflows. Competencies: High attention to detail, practical problem-solving ability, and strong commitment to project deadlines.
