Primary Responsibilities :
Plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons aligned with the IB MYP and DP curriculum.
Develop inquiry-based, concept-driven and student-centered learning experiences.
Prepare students for IB internal and external assessments and examinations.
Develop unit planners, lesson plans, assignments and assessments aligned with IB standards.
Conduct practical and laboratory activities to promote scientific inquiry and experimentation.
Maintain accurate student records, assessment data and provide timely constructive feedback.
Support students in developing scientific thinking, analytical, problem-solving, investigation and critical-thinking skills.
Monitor student progress and provide appropriate academic support.
Participate in collaborative planning, curriculum development and departmental meetings.
Integrate appropriate technology and digital tools into teaching and learning.
Contribute to school events, parent meetings and other academic activities.
Foster an inclusive, positive and supportive classroom environment.
Participate in professional development activities and contribute to continuous curriculum improvement.
Experience Requirements:
3–5 years of teaching experience, preferably in IB MYP and DP Physics.
M.Sc./M.A. in Physics or a relevant Physics-related field.
B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is required.
Prior experience with IB MYP/DP Physics is strongly preferred.
IB professional development/training in MYP/DP Physics will be an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of IB MYP/DP Physics curriculum, assessment criteria and examination requirements.
Experience with Physics practical work, laboratory investigations and scientific inquiry.
Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning.
Collaborative, reflective and adaptable approach to teaching.
Passion for student-centered learning and continuous professional development.
