Primary Responsibilities :
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Feasibility Assessment
Evaluate the manufacturability of new and existing designs across CNC punch press, press brake, roll forming, tube fabrication, and welding lines.
Review DFM outputs and provide formal feasibility sign-off before NPD commits to tooling.
Identify potential manufacturing challenges and recommend suitable process improvements.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure produced components and assemblies comply with applicable standards, including ASTM, EN, DIN, JIS, ISI, REACH, and RoHS.
Maintain compliance documentation and traceability from raw material sourcing through final dispatch.
Drive a strong in-process quality culture across the manufacturing floor.
Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives for non-conformances identified through dimensional, mechanical, impact, and chemical testing.
Process & Cycle Time Improvement
Conduct cycle time studies and establish performance benchmarks for machines and production lines.
Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using DMAIC, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
Monitor OEE and identify opportunities for process optimization.
Manufacturing Execution & Documentation
Own and maintain engineering execution files, including:
G-code and CAM programs
SOP documents
Jig setup sheets
Tooling change records
Process documentation
Ensure proper version control, accessibility, and accuracy of engineering documents.
Cost & Budget Management
Track manufacturing cost performance against approved budgets.
Conduct variance analysis across material, consumables, tooling, and overhead costs.
Identify root causes for cost deviations and recommend corrective actions.
NPD & Tooling Coordination
Act as the technical interface between the NPD team and the Tool & Die Shop.
Review DFM outputs and validate tooling specifications.
Coordinate tooling development and modifications.
Validate first-off samples before production trials.
Support prototype validation and bridge the gap between prototype and production feasibility.

Experience Requirements:
Candidate Requirements
B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering.
6–12 years of experience in a sheet metal or tube fabrication manufacturing environment.
Experience in precision steel fabrication will be strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience in feasibility analysis and manufacturing sign-off for sheet metal and tube products.
Strong experience in DFM review through production implementation.
Proven track record of cycle time reduction across CNC punch, press brake, roll forming, or tube forming operations.
Experience maintaining compliance documentation for ASTM, EN, DIN, JIS, or equivalent international standards.
Hands-on experience in manufacturing cost tracking, budget monitoring, and variance analysis.
Experience coordinating tooling development with NPD or Product Development teams.
Proficiency in CAD drawing interpretation using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or equivalent software.
Working knowledge of CAM programming and G-code fundamentals.
Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent Lean Manufacturing certification will be preferred.
