Production Manager – CCL

Production & Operations • Manage day-to-day production activities of Colour Coating Line (CCL) and related metal processing operations. • Prepare and execute production plans based on customer requirements, production schedules, and available resources. • Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets. • Monitor machine performance, line speed, production output, material utilization, and overall line efficiency. • Optimize production processes to minimize downtime, rejection, wastage, and production losses. • Coordinate manpower, raw materials, machine settings, and production schedules. CCL / Coating Process • Manage and monitor Aluminium and GI Colour Coating Line operations. • Ensure proper process parameters for coating, curing, surface preparation, and finishing. • Coordinate with technical and quality teams for colour, coating, surface finish, and product specifications. • Support troubleshooting and resolution of coating defects and production-related issues. • Recommend suitable raw materials and coating systems based on product/application requirements. Quality Management • Ensure production is carried out according to defined quality standards and customer specifications. • Coordinate with QA/QC teams for raw-material inspection, in-process inspection, and finished-product quality. • Analyse production defects, identify root causes, and implement corrective/preventive actions. • Support third-party inspections, customer inspections, and technical quality documentation. • Maintain production and quality records as required. Maintenance Coordination • Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance of CCL and associated equipment. • Monitor recurring equipment problems and support root-cause analysis. • Minimize machine breakdowns and unplanned production stoppages. • Ensure production equipment is maintained for safe and efficient operation. Team Management • Lead, supervise, and develop production operators, technicians, and junior engineers. • Allocate manpower according to production requirements and shift plans. • Conduct technical training, toolbox talks, and operator awareness sessions. • Ensure discipline, productivity, and adherence to standard operating procedures. Safety & Compliance • Ensure strict compliance with HSE and workplace safety standards. • Implement safe operating procedures across production activities. • Support ISO-related systems, documentation, audits, and compliance requirements. • Ensure proper handling of materials, chemicals, equipment, and other production resources. Documentation & Reporting • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production reports. • Track production efficiency, downtime, rejection, wastage, and material consumption. • Prepare production-related checklists, SOPs, and technical documentation. • Report operational issues, production performance, and improvement initiatives to management.
