Primary Responsibilities :
Key Responsibilities
Independently install and commission CNC machines and automated production lines.
Carry out machine positioning, electrical installation, panel checks, wiring verification, and I/O testing.
Install, configure, and integrate CNC, PLC, HMI, servo-drive, VFD, and machine-control software.
Perform machine start-up, parameter setting, calibration, and functional testing.
Conduct trial runs, production trials, site acceptance tests, and final machine handover.
Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic, software, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
Troubleshoot PLC, CNC, HMI, servo drives, VFDs, sensors, motors, and control panels.
Attend breakdown calls and restore machines to operation with minimum downtime.
Conduct preventive maintenance and Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) visits.
Provide online and remote technical support for machine alarms, software issues, and operational problems.
Train machine operators and maintenance teams on machine operation, programming, preventive maintenance, and safety.
Support CNC program transfer, software updates, parameter backups, and remote diagnostics.
Prepare installation, commissioning, trial, AMC, breakdown, and service reports.
Identify defective components and recommend suitable spare parts.
Coordinate with international technical specialists on complex technical issues.
Independently manage customer sites and ensure timely completion of service assignments.
Follow all company and customer-site safety procedures.
Experience Requirements:
Qualification
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in:
Electrical Engineering
Electronics Engineering
Instrumentation Engineering
Mechatronics Engineering
Required Technical Experience
Candidates must have hands-on experience in:
CNC machine installation and commissioning.
PLC programming, diagnostics, and fault finding.
CNC, HMI, servo-drive, and VFD troubleshooting.
Machine software installation and integration.
Electrical panel checking, wiring verification, and I/O testing.
Machine calibration, trial-out, and production proving.
Operator and maintenance-team training.
Breakdown and preventive maintenance.
AMC service visits and machine-condition assessment.
Online and remote troubleshooting.
Independent management of customer sites.
Important: Candidates with only general plant electrical maintenance or utility maintenance experience, without hands-on CNC machine commissioning and troubleshooting exposure, will not be suitable.
Good to Have
Siemens PLC, TIA Portal, Siemens HMI, and drive systems.
Experience with drilling, sawing, cutting, fabrication, or structural-steel processing machinery.
Experience with Ficep or similar European CNC machinery.
Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Industrial software, networking, and remote-diagnostic systems.
Candidate Profile
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Good communication and customer-handling abilities.
Ability to read electrical drawings, circuit diagrams, and machine manuals.
Ability to independently prepare technical and service reports.
Willingness to travel extensively across India and internationally.
Willingness to be based in or relocate to Thane.
Valid passport or willingness to obtain one.
Flexible to work according to customer-site and commissioning requirements.
