Primary Responsibilities :
• Source and procure raw materials, fabricated components, mechanical and electrical parts required for manufacturing and project execution.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors while maintaining relationships with existing suppliers.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate commercial terms, and finalize purchase orders.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials to meet production and project schedules.
• Coordinate with Design, Production, Stores, Planning, Sales, and Accounts departments for procurement requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance based on quality, delivery, pricing, and service.
• Prepare purchase orders, maintain procurement documentation, and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Track order status and follow up with vendors for on-time deliveries.
• Resolve supply chain issues, quality concerns, and vendor-related disputes.
• Conduct periodic market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Stores to avoid stock shortages or excess inventory.
• Support ISO documentation and procurement
Experience Requirements:
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in procurement within manufacturing or heavy engineering industries.
• Experience in EOT Cranes, Hoists, Material Handling Equipment, Fabrication, or Industrial Machinery is highly
Required Skills
• Strong vendor management and vendor development experience.
• Excellent negotiation and cost optimization skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical components, structural steel, electrical items, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and industrial consumables.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Good knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
