Job Description: BMS Engineer – Architect
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Building Controls Engineer to support the deployment, upgrade, and ongoing operation of smart building and energy management infrastructure. This role focuses on the design, configuration, installation, testing, and commissioning of building control and monitoring systems, including LoRaWAN-based networks supporting HVAC, water, gas, and electrical metering across commercial properties.
Role Details
Location: Hyderabad (Remote)
Compensation: ₹6 LPA - ₹20 LPA (Commensurate with experience)
Travel: Approximately 50% travel required
Required Skills
Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with BMS/BAS and communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LoRaWAN.
Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of HVAC systems, control sequences, and utility metering (electrical, water, and gas).
Troubleshooting: Advanced ability to troubleshoot sensors, controllers, networks, and complex wiring issues.
Data Analysis: Ability to analyze energy and utility data for performance optimization and waste reduction.
Communication: Strong verbal/written communication and client-facing skills.
Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
System Design & Deployment: Design, configure, and deploy building control architectures, including BMS, LoRaWAN networks, sensors, and gateways.
Site Surveys: Perform comprehensive site surveys to document existing HVAC, electrical, water, gas, and building automation systems.
Commissioning: Lead the commissioning and functional testing of water, gas, and electrical metering systems for real-time analytics and fault detection.
Technical Documentation: Maintain detailed project documentation, including network diagrams, control sequences, point lists, and as-built drawings.
R&D: Research and validate new field devices, including IoT hardware, submeters, and controllers.
Stakeholder Coordination: Interface with clients, contractors, and utilities to provide project coordination and technical expertise.
Mentorship: Lead and train junior technicians on building controls and monitoring technologies.
