Primary Responsibilities :
• Develop and optimize innovative formwork, falsework, scaffolding, and temporary works
systems.
• Perform structural analysis and design calculations for new and existing formwork
products and assemblies.
• Conduct feasibility studies, prototype evaluations, and product validation testing.
• Prepare technical design reports, calculations, engineering documentation, and standard
design manuals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, procurement, project
engineering, and site execution teams.
• Research new materials, construction technologies, and engineering methodologies to
improve product performance and efficiency.
• Analyse field feedback and implement continuous product improvements.
• Support standardization and modularization initiatives for formwork systems.
• Ensure compliance with relevant international standards, safety regulations, and
engineering best practices.
• Participate in technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and design optimization
activities.
• Develop reusable engineering tools, templates, and calculation sheets for design
automation and productivity enhancement.
• Assist in patent documentation, technical presentations, and innovation initiatives where
applicable.
Experience Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering.
• 4–8 years of experience in structural formwork design, temporary works engineering, or
R&D/product development related to construction systems.
• Strong understanding of structural behaviour, RCC construction methodologies, and
temporary works engineering & steel design.
• Experience in product development or engineering innovation within
construction/formwork industry preferred.
• Technical Skills
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as:
o STAAD Pro
o SAP2000
o ETABS
o ANSYS (preferred)
o AutoCAD
o Inventor
• Strong understanding of:
o Formwork and scaffolding systems
o Load calculations and stability analysis
o Steel and aluminum structural systems
o Connection detailing and fabrication concepts
• Familiarity with formwork systems such as PERI, Doka, ULMA, MEVA, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of international codes and standards related to temporary works and
structural design.
• Preferred Skills
• Experience in R&D, product engineering, or innovation-focused roles.
• Exposure to prototype development and physical testing methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Knowledge of value engineering and cost optimization techniques.
• Ability to work independently on conceptual engineering and design development.
