Company is offering optimization services for companies selling on third party eCommerce websites (like Amazon, Ocado, CarrefourDrive…). Our mission is to help companies choosing the right picture, video, A+ content… Or sometimes we simply help companies to choose what product to launch among several of them using eCommerce simulations as a way to do behavioural market research.
If we need to summarize in 1 sentence: we are at the intersection of market research and A/B testing
We are currently looking for someone having data analysis skills to help us in the core of what we do data analysis, to help our clients to choose the best product, options.. they are testing with us. The person will be responsible for creating scripts (currently we are using Python scripts) to generate the insights we need. If the person wants to beyond scripts, he/ she will help to create conclusions and recommendations to our clients.

Responsibilities

Being able to quickly understand the business questions and project context for new projects. We do business consulting this is then important to understand what the client wants to achieve with a project. As we do many projects it is very important to be able to quickly get up to speed on new projects coming in. We generally need to do the analysis in 1 to 2 weeks.

Creating the right scripts generating the data tables the team needs, in a proper way. It is very important to be able to run queries that will generate the results we need. Typically for an average research we will generate hundreds of tables. Tables might change it is very important that the script are well coded, and understandable by someone who did not write the script.

Partner with a strategist crystalize the data tables into insights deliverable to client. We typically have back and forth between analyst and strategist to develop the material we will give to the client. It is very important to have good communication skills.
Basic Qualifications

Languages you need to speak English as it is the only common language we share with our clients and partners.

Python (or R or VBA) skills being able to convert a csv log file of 100 000 rows into data tables. Python library: at least numpy, scipy, panda …. Being able to use Jupyter.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills. Even if the team is small, we are a team. Therefore, communicating efficiently on what works what does not, what should be done and should be avoided is important. We make mistakes, we learn from them and we back everything up with data and logic.

Basic business and market research understanding to understand what our clients want to achieve working with us.

The first step of the process will be a technical test, therefore very important to be comfortable with a coding language (preferably Python)
Experience Requirements:
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis or a similar role.
- Proven experience with data manipulation and analysis in Python.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis, including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib.
- Strong understanding of SQL and experience with database management systems.
Data Visualization:
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Ability to create insightful reports and dashboards that communicate findings effectively.
Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
Statistical Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of statistical methods and techniques for data analysis.
- Experience with statistical programming languages such as R is a plus.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of German or French is a plus.
- Ability to present findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
Team Collaboration:
- Experience working collaboratively within a team and with cross-functional departments.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Adaptability:
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities.
