Primary Responsibilities :
➢ Financial Strategy & Planning
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models specific to cold chain operations.
• Provide financial insights to support expansion, capital investments, and operational improvements.
➢ Accounting & Reporting:
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, invoicing,
payroll, and general ledger.
• Ensure timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Monitor cost centres related to cold storage, packaging, and distribution.
➢ Compliance & Audit:
• Ensure adherence to tax laws, GST, and other statutory regulations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring readiness for ISO/QMS and industry-specific audits.
• Maintain compliance with financial reporting standards and cold chain industry regulations.
➢ Cost Control & Efficiency
• Monitor and control operational costs, including energy consumption, refrigeration, and logistics
expenses.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality or cold chain integrity.
• Analyse variances and recommend corrective actions.
➢ Cash Flow & Treasury Management
• Manage working capital, cash flow, and liquidity to support uninterrupted operations.
• Oversee banking relationships, credit facilities, and investment strategies.
• Ensure timely vendor payments and optimize receivables collection.
➢ Leadership & Team Management
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with production, supply chain, and HR personnel to align financial practices with
operational needs and drive digital transformation in finance (ERP, automation, analytics)
➢ Additional Duties
Due to the size of the organization, employees may be asked to take on tasks beyond their core
responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the company. These tasks are assigned based on
the skills already required by the role, so no additional expertise is needed. However, for tasks that are
not essential to the role, training will be provided, as outlined in the Training Matrix, to ensure
employees are fully equipped to handle them effectively.
Experience Requirements:
Degree in Accounts/Finance/MBA (Finance), or equivalent professional qualification.
• 5+ years of experience in finance.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance frameworks.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and financial modelling.
