Primary Responsibilities :
Substation Design Engineering
- Prepare complete engineering designs for 132kV, 220kV, and 400kV GIS substations.
- Develop and review:
- Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
- General Arrangement (GA) Drawings
- Equipment Layouts
- GIS Layouts
- Earthing Layouts
- Cable Routing Layouts
- Control & Protection Schematics
- AC/DC Distribution Schemes
- Perform both Primary and Secondary Design Engineering for EHV substations.
- Prepare technical specifications, engineering calculations, BOQs, and design reports.
Technical Review & Compliance
- Review engineering drawings, vendor documents, and design deliverables.
- Ensure all designs comply with:
- IEC Standards
- IEEE Standards
- Utility Specifications
- Client Requirements
- Local GCC Electrical Codes
- Participate in design review meetings and technical discussions.
Project Engineering
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including Civil, Mechanical, Protection, SCADA, Telecom, and Procurement.
- Provide engineering support during procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning.
- Resolve engineering issues raised during project execution.
- Support FAT, SAT, and site engineering activities whenever required.
Design Coordination
- Coordinate with overseas clients, consultants, utilities, and EPC contractors.
- Review contractor submissions and vendor drawings.
- Provide technical clarifications during project execution.
Quality & Documentation
- Maintain engineering documentation and revision control.
- Ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
- Support project documentation for client approvals.
Experience Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory)
Experience
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in EHV Substation Design.
- Hands-on experience in:
- 400kV GIS Substations
- 220kV GIS Substations
- 132kV GIS Substations
- Strong experience in Primary & Secondary Design Engineering.
- Overseas project experience in:
- Qatar
- Saudi Arabia
- Other GCC Countries (Preferred)
- Experience working with international EPC companies or engineering consultants.

- Strong knowledge of:

- Excellent knowledge of:
