Primary Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations within the assigned process area (Worsted Spinning or Weaving).
- Monitor production performance and ensure achievement of quality, productivity, and efficiency targets.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, increase output, and improve process reliability.
- Analyze production data, KPIs, and operational metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
- Optimize production planning, scheduling, and resource utilization.
- Monitor and reduce waste, downtime, rework, and process losses.
- Ensure effective inventory management and timely fulfillment of production requirements.
- Implement best manufacturing practices to improve operational efficiency and product quality.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Planning teams to achieve business objectives.
- Support implementation of automation, digital manufacturing tools, AI-based solutions, and process innovations.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop production teams to build future manufacturing leaders.
- Prepare and present production reports, performance analysis, and improvement plans to management.
- Drive a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
Experience Requirements:
- BE/B.Tech in Textile Engineering (Mandatory).
- 3–10 years of experience in Worsted Spinning or Weaving Manufacturing Operations.
- Strong technical knowledge of textile manufacturing processes, machinery, and production systems.
- Proven experience in improving productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret production data, KPIs, and cost metrics.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/SAP systems and manufacturing reporting tools.
- Understanding of inventory management, production planning, and capacity utilization.
- Experience in process optimization, waste reduction, and cost-control initiatives.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Supply Chain teams.
- Comfortable adopting new technologies, automation systems, AI tools, and digital manufacturing practices.
- Age preference: 28–38 years.
- Willingness to relocate and work in Nairobi.
