Job Description
Job Title: Electrical and Instrumentation Technician
Job Level: Operations
Reporting To: Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor
Direct Reports: None
Scope of Operations
Design and troubleshoot electrical systems.
Ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and reliability of all plant electrical and control systems.
Knowledge and Skills
Education
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
Technical Skills
Familiarity with Siemens DCS infrastructure (Simatic WinCC Explorer, PCS7, Simatic Manager).
Strong knowledge of PLCs such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Delta, Inovance, and Omron.
Familiarity with SCADA/HMI systems and industrial communication networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
Experience in calibration of process transmitters (ABB, Yokogawa, Endress & Hauser).
Troubleshooting skills for electric motors (induction, servo, and DC motors).
Hands-on experience with motor starters (Star-Delta, Soft Starters, and DOL starters).
Experience in frequency drive configuration and troubleshooting using software such as Sinamics Starter.
Troubleshooting experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Skills in servicing process control valves and calibration of valve positioners.
Experience in cable laying and termination.
Diagnostics and troubleshooting of control and power circuits.
Experience in designing power distribution circuits.
Hands-on experience with electrical and instrumentation measuring tools.
Experience in performing preventive maintenance checks and testing.
Knowledge of fire and safety equipment maintenance.
Experience Requirements:
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Perform routine checks of all plant electrical equipment.
Conduct preventive maintenance checks and testing of equipment.
Respond quickly and safely to electrical and automation breakdowns.
Interpret electrical manuals and technical documentation.
Install new control systems and electrical circuits.
Maintain fire and safety equipment.
Maintain accurate instrumentation and electrical records.
Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

Ensure safety standards are followed at all times.
Follow and maintain continuous improvement (Kaizen) standards.
