Job Title: QA/QC Engineer
Job Summary
The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all materials, workmanship, and construction processes comply with project specifications, technical standards, and quality management systems. The role involves implementing the project Quality Plan, conducting inspections, managing non-conformance reports, and coordinating with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure high-quality and defect-free project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Planning & Documentation
Develop and implement project-specific Quality Assacurance (QA) plans.
Prepare Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and method statements.
Ensure all quality documentation complies with project standards.
Inspections & Testing
Conduct regular site inspections for civil, structural, architectural, or MEP works.
Ensure construction activities comply with drawings, specifications, and approved procedures.
Material Control
Inspect incoming materials and verify compliance with project requirements.
Review Material Test Certificates (MTCs) and related documentation.
Non-Conformance Management (NCR)
Identify and document non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented effectively.
Coordination
Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and third-party inspectors.
Resolve quality-related issues and ensure compliance with project standards.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality documentation.
Prepare as-built documentation and quality reports for project handover.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in construction quality control.
Preferred Qualification
Engineers with MMUP/UPDA Grade ‘A’ certification will be preferred.
Technical Knowledge
Strong understanding of international and local quality standards such as ASTM, BS, and ISO 9001.
Key Skills
Ability to review technical drawings and specifications.
Strong report writing and documentation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and quality control software.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
