Job Title: Site Engineer – Civil
Job Summary
The Site Engineer – Civil is responsible for providing technical support and supervision for civil engineering and construction activities at the project site. The role involves coordinating with the Project Manager, planning teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure that construction activities are completed safely, on time, and in accordance with quality standards.
Reporting To
Project Manager
Quality & Safety
Monitor site safety performance and recommend improvements to safety procedures.
Attend consultant inspections and ensure proper follow-up actions.
Monitor subcontractor work to ensure quality standards and schedule compliance.
Candidate Profile
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
Professional engineering certification where applicable.
Experience
8 – 10 years of experience in civil, commercial, or industrial construction projects.
Experience supervising major construction sites, high-rise buildings, and tower projects.
Preferred Qualification
Engineers with MMUP/UPDA Grade ‘A’ certification will be given preference.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of engineering design and construction codes.
Excellent construction scheduling and site management skills.
Strong budget management and cost reporting abilities.
Experience handling subcontractor variance reports and claims settlements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams and supervise third-party contractors.
Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Planning
Assist the Project Manager in preparing site organization structures and manpower planning.
Work with the Planning Engineer to prepare detailed work schedules and material procurement plans.
Support project mobilization and site setup activities.
Construction Execution
Implement the construction program as directed by the Project Manager.
Prepare monthly forecasts for manpower and material requirements.
Review daily work schedules, equipment, and manpower requirements with site foremen.
Project Monitoring
Review progress reports prepared by the Planning Engineer and provide recommendations to address issues affecting project quality, costs, or timelines.
Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with project schedules.
Technical & Documentation
Review construction drawings and coordinate with engineering teams or consultants to resolve discrepancies.
Source project materials according to specifications and prepare technical submittals for consultant approval.
Prepare as-built drawings and project completion documentation.
