Job Summary

The Chef is responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen operations, including food preparation, menu planning, kitchen staff supervision, maintaining food quality, hygiene standards, and ensuring a smooth kitchen workflow. The role includes leading the culinary team, controlling food costs, managing inventory, and ensuring all dishes meet the required quality standards.

 

Education

Diploma / Degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or related field.

Post-Graduation: Not mandatory but an advantage.

Preferred certifications in Food Safety, Kitchen Management, or Culinary Arts.

Experience Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations and food preparation.

Plan menus and ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.

Supervise and guide kitchen staff.

Maintain food hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.

Manage food costs, inventory, and kitchen supplies.

Ensure timely preparation and delivery of dishes.

Train and support kitchen staff to maintain high standards.

Maintain discipline and efficiency within the kitchen team.

Experience Required

Minimum 5–10 years of experience in professional kitchens.

At least 3–5 years of experience in a leadership or Chef role.

Experience in Indian cuisine is preferred.
