Position Summary
The Senior Automation Engineer – PLC Programmer is responsible for PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, control panel integration, FAT/SAT execution, and site commissioning of industrial automation systems.
This role requires strong hands-on expertise in Siemens and Allen-Bradley platforms, along with the ability to independently handle end-to-end automation projects.
Mandatory Skills
Minimum 6 years of PLC programming experience.
Hands-on expertise in Siemens TIA Portal (S7-1200 / S7-1500).
Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 / RSLogix.
Strong exposure to industrial automation project execution.
Proven site commissioning and troubleshooting expertise.

FAT first-time approval ≥ 90%
Commissioning schedule adherence ≥ 95%
Major programming rework ≤ 2 per project
100% documentation submission before project closure

Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
Develop PLC programs using Siemens (TIA Portal – S7-1200 / S7-1500) and Allen-Bradley (Studio 5000 / RSLogix).
Write ladder logic, function blocks, structured text, interlocks, alarm systems, and sequence logic.
Develop and configure HMI/SCADA screens including alarms, trends, and reports.
Prepare IO lists, tag mapping, and technical documentation.
Configure and troubleshoot communication protocols such as Modbus, Profinet, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP.
Review control panel drawings, wiring diagrams, and BOMs for accuracy and integration compliance.
Conduct internal testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and site commissioning.
Lead troubleshooting, system optimization, and tuning during commissioning and trial runs.
Provide client training and ensure timely submission of final project documentation.
