Role Overview

The Business Development Manager – US Hiring will be responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives across the US market. The role involves developing comprehensive marketing and sales plans, hunting new business opportunities, building competitive positioning, and ensuring successful client acquisition and early-stage retention.

The candidate will play a key role in expanding B2B and D2E segments while aligning with overall corporate growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Marketing & Sales Planning

Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and sales plan for each identified opportunity:

Identify and assess market size and potential.

Analyze competitors and evaluate their strategies.

Define product/service positioning and pricing strategy.

Determine distribution strategy (channels, partnerships, sales team structure).

Develop product collaterals and sales collaterals.

Oversee website development and digital positioning.

Develop and implement SEO strategies to strengthen digital presence.

2. Competitive Intelligence

Monitor competitor performance and evolving strategies.

Modify marketing and sales plans to protect and strengthen competitive advantage.

Identify differentiation opportunities in service delivery and pricing models.

3. Business Target & Budget Planning

Develop and maintain a structured new business hunting plan.

Define revenue targets and growth milestones.

Plan and manage associated budgets including headcount and operational spends.

4. New Business Development (B2B & D2E)

Drive revenue growth by:

Organizing, staffing, and directing marketing and sales teams.

Implementing a strong pull strategy through:

Website optimization

Experience Requirements:

SEO initiatives

Online and offline advertising

Participation in seminars and conferences

Hosting product/service-focused events

Implementing a strong push strategy through:

Email campaigns

Cold calling campaigns

Targeted outbound outreach

5. Client Onboarding & Early Retention

Retain and grow newly acquired business.

Ensure smooth transition to Client Retention teams as per corporate policy.

Build long-term client relationships to strengthen brand presence in the US market.

Candidate Profile

10–15 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Strategic Marketing.

Strong exposure to US market expansion and B2B growth strategies.

Experience in compliance, financial reporting, SaaS, or technology-driven services preferred.

Strong leadership and team-building capability.

Excellent strategic thinking and execution skills.

Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
