Role Overview
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) / Project Head will provide end-to-end operational leadership across multiple high-value EPC projects. The role demands deep technical knowledge, strong execution capability, commercial acumen, and the ability to manage complex government and regulatory environments.
The position is critical to ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contractual and regulatory standards.
Candidate Profile
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering (Preferred)
Postgraduate qualification in Management (MBA/PGDM) is an advantage
Experience
15–20+ years of experience in EPC / Power Infrastructure project execution
Proven track record of handling large-scale, high-value infrastructure projects
Strong experience in managing multi-site operations
Experience dealing with government authorities and utilities
Age Preference
Ideally 40–45 years
Strong younger candidates with exceptional project exposure may also be considered

Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership
Lead and oversee day-to-day operations across multiple project sites
Ensure efficient allocation of manpower, equipment, and materials
Drive operational excellence across engineering, procurement, and execution teams
2. Project Execution & Delivery
Ensure projects are executed within budget and timeline
Maintain high standards of quality and safety compliance
Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when required
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
3. Team & Contractor Management
Manage site teams, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
Foster accountability, productivity, and performance-driven culture
Develop leadership bench strength across project teams
4. Government & Regulatory Liaison
Liaise with government departments, utilities, and regulatory authorities
Manage approvals, inspections, and statutory compliance
Handle site-level regulatory and stakeholder challenges proactively
5. Commercial & Documentation Control
Ensure contractual adherence and documentation integrity
Monitor project costing, billing, and financial performance
Implement strong documentation and reporting systems
6. Strategic Planning
Develop operational strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Support management in long-term growth planning
Contribute to business expansion and bid strategy discussions
