About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with strong expertise in Industrial Automation Solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Solution Architect team to identify, engage, and convert prospective clients across key industrial sectors.

The role requires the ability to clearly articulate complex technical solutions and demonstrate strong business value to decision-makers.

 

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of ICSS / DCS / PLC / SIS / SCADA systems

Experience in Industrial Automation projects and product sales

Exposure to PLCs, HMI, Historians such as:

Siemens

Rockwell Automation

Allen Bradley

Wonderware

AVEVA

Note: Preference will be given to candidates with strong experience in Siemens and Rockwell Automation projects.

Educational Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Sc. in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering

MBA is an added advantage

8–15 years overall experience in Automation Product / Project Sales & Marketing preferred

Required Skills & Competencies

Excellent communication and client-handling skills

Strong negotiation and presentation skills

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Strong industrial/process knowledge

Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams

Team player with strong business acumen

Experience Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

Drive sales of Industrial Automation Solutions and Products

Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, qualifying, and closing deals

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients

Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to order closure

Ensure smooth transition of projects from sales to delivery teams

Coordinate with Solution Architects for technical discussions and solution proposals

Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets

Travel extensively (80%–90%) within India and abroad as required

Participate in conferences, exhibitions, and industry events

Mandatory Experience

Minimum 6+ years of field experience purely as a Business Development Manager (Must Have)

Strong exposure to Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Power & Water, Pharma, and Food & Beverage industries

Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in competitive environments

Hands-on knowledge of industrial/process environments

Established customer network in the Middle East (Preferred)
