Position Overview
We are looking for a Junior Cook / Kitchen Assistant to support the Head Cook in a central family kitchen in Doha. The kitchen prepares daily lunch and dinner for a large extended family, with meals packed and distributed to multiple family residences.
The role involves assisting in food preparation, basic cooking, salads, snacks, kitchen organization, and maintaining cleanliness, under the direct supervision of the Head Cook.
Mandatory Candidate Requirements
Nationality / Background
South Indian ONLY
Preferably from the same region as the Head Cook
Experience
2 to 4 years of cooking experience
Household or small catering experience preferred
Gulf experience is an advantage but not mandatory
Food Preparation
Proper cutting of vegetables and meat
Cleaning and preparation of chicken, meat, and shrimp
Rice preparation (white rice and basic biryani rice)
Salads & Snacks
Tabbouleh
Fattoush
Caesar Salad
Egg & mayonnaise sandwiches
Samoon sandwiches
Puff pastry and light snacks
Basic Cooking
Assist in preparing simple Arabic and Indian dishes under guidance
Willingness to learn Khaleeji cooking standards from the Head Cook
Working Standards
Strictly follow instructions from the Head Cook
Maintain cleanliness, order, and discipline
Taste food only when instructed
Respect kitchen hierarchy
Maintain consistency in food preparation
Trial & Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates must:
Attend an interview
Complete a practical kitchen trial, including:

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and workstations at all times
Follow food safety and hygiene standards strictly
Support Head Cook during peak kitchen hours
