Assignment Overview
We are seeking an experienced Temporary Senior Sushi Chef for a 60-day engagement to lead sushi kitchen operations, maintain high-quality standards, and ensure smooth service during the contract period. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who can step in quickly and deliver consistent results.
Skills & Requirements
8–10 years of professional experience as a Sushi Chef, including senior-level responsibility
Strong expertise in traditional and modern sushi preparation techniques
Excellent knife skills and deep knowledge of seafood handling
Ability to lead kitchen teams and manage high-volume service
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to start immediately or on short notice preferred
Engagement Details
Duration: 60 days (temporary / contract role)
Full-time, on-site engagement
Compensation offered on a prorated basis from the annual range

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present high-quality sushi, sashimi, and Japanese specialty dishes
Oversee daily sushi kitchen operations and service execution
Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation standards
Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation compliance
Manage inventory, ordering, and proper storage of ingredients
Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff during the engagement period
Minimize food waste and control food costs
Support menu execution and maintain established recipes and standards
