Position: Junior Analyst / Internal Researcher
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Commitment: 40 hours per week
Compensation: ₹50,000 – ₹70,000 per month
Primary Objective
The Junior Analyst / Internal Researcher will function as the organization’s internal research and early-stage deal scouting arm, focused on identifying pre-seed investment opportunities and uncovering high-potential startups before they enter mainstream investment pipelines.

Key Responsibilities
Market Intelligence & Research
Conduct continuous internet-based research to track developments across the tech ecosystem
Monitor online forums, founder communities, and discussion platforms (e.g., Reddit)
Track startup news, emerging trends, and early signals from sources such as Inc42 and similar publications
Weekly Reporting
Compile and present a weekly market intelligence report for partners covering:
Emerging sectors and technologies
Early-stage startup activity
Founder and campus-level insights
Deliver concise, insight-driven updates with actionable observations
On-Ground Scouting
Visit university campuses (e.g., IIT Madras) and engage with student founders
Spend time at incubators, accelerators, co-working spaces, and startup hubs
Attend angel meets, demo days, tech events, and founder networking sessions
Build grassroots connections within early-stage startup ecosystems
Deep-Dive Analysis
Research specific ideas or companies referred by partners
Deliver comprehensive ~5-page analytical reports within 48 hours, covering:
Problem statement and solution clarity
Founder background and credibility
Market opportunity and competitive landscape
Early traction or validation signals
Deal Flow Development
Identify pre-seed and idea-stage investment opportunities
Surface non-obvious startups and “hidden gems” before institutional discovery
Support partners in building a high-quality early-stage deal pipeline
Candidate Profile
Eligibility
Young professionals or recent graduates
University students aged 19–21 may also be considered
Mindset & Attitude
High energy, curiosity-driven, and willing to hustle
Comfortable with travel, waiting for meetings, and engaging founders informally
Ability to identify unconventional yet high-potential founders
Self-motivated with strong ownership mindset
