Position: Junior Analyst / Internal Researcher
Employment Type: Full-time
Commitment: 40 hours per week
Compensation: ₹50,000 – ₹70,000 per month
Primary Objective
The Junior Analyst / Internal Researcher will function as the organization’s internal research and deal-scouting engine, focused on identifying pre-seed investment opportunities. This role is designed to surface early-stage ideas, emerging founders, and high-potential startups before they reach mainstream investor visibility.
Deal Flow Development
Identify and surface pre-seed and idea-stage startups with high upside potential
Spot unconventional, early, or “non-obvious” founders before institutional discovery
Support partners with early deal insights and pipeline building
Candidate Profile
Background
Young professionals or recent graduates
University students aged 19–21 may also be considered
Attitude & Mindset
High energy, curiosity-driven, and willing to hustle
Comfortable traveling, waiting for meetings, and engaging founders in informal settings
Ability to identify bold, unconventional founders with high potential
Self-motivated and eager to work in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
Skills & Interests
Strong research and information synthesis skills
Ability to quickly connect disparate signals into clear insights
Deep interest in one or more of the following sectors:

Experience Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
Market Intelligence & Research
Conduct continuous, in-depth internet research to track developments across the tech ecosystem
Monitor online forums, communities, and discussion platforms (e.g., Reddit, founder forums)
Track startup news, sector trends, and early signals from platforms such as Inc42 and similar sources
Weekly Reporting
Prepare and present a weekly intelligence report summarizing:
Emerging sectors and trends
New startups and founder activity
Insights from online and offline scouting
Deliver concise, insight-driven updates to partners
On-Ground Scouting
Actively visit university campuses (e.g., IIT Madras and similar institutions)
Spend time at incubators, accelerators, co-working spaces, and startup hubs
Attend angel meets, demo days, tech events, and founder gatherings
Build informal networks with early-stage founders and student entrepreneurs
Deep-Dive Research
Investigate specific ideas or companies referred by partners
Deliver detailed analytical reports (~5 pages) within 48 hours, covering:
Problem statement and solution
Founder background
Market opportunity
Competitive landscape
Early signals of product-market fit
