Primary Responsibilities :
- Preparation and presentation of the café menu as
ordered which requires experience in the following:
o Italian dishes with a variety of pasta and pizza.
o Fast food items with a variety of wraps,
momos, and fries.
o Sweet treats such as waffles, pancakes, crepes,
and churros.
o Beverages such as coffee and shakes.
- Working with the head chef and owner in setting up
the kitchen with things required to work (e.g.
cutlery types).
- Working with the head chef and owner in setting up
a thorough list of food items and ingredients and
helping with supplies.
- Working with the head chef in deciding the food
portions to be served and maintaining a low food
waste.
- Working with the head chef in managing inventory
for food items and ingredients and supporting him
with daily supplies from near markets.
- Preparation of kitchen before meal times.
- Ensure proper preparation of all food to be served.
- Maintaining a clean kitchen at all times
- Willingness to work nights and weekends.
- Comfortable working long shifts.
Desired Skills:
Basic ability to operate computer & smartphone.
- Culinary background and previous experience in a
restaurant or hotel.
- Self-driven and taking full ownership attitude.
- Capable of handling professional kitchen and
customer orders.
- Experience in order and portion planning,
development and serving.
- Creativity to design appealing dishes.
- Proficiency in cooking techniques, flavour
combinations, and food presentation.
- Knowledge of various cuisines, ingredients, and
cooking methods.
- Ability to create and modify recipes.
Experience Requirements:
2 - 3 years in a Restaurant / Café kitchen environment
