Primary Responsibilities :
Years of experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the role of (Assistant) Resident Engineer Minimum of 10 years’ cumulative experience in Civil Engineering Minimum of 5 years’ site experience in port and marine construction projects
Qualification: Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering Field of expertise and
experience:
Design & Build, FIDIC Yellow, Shore protection, Reclamation, Dredging, Geotechnical testing and soil improvement, Payment certification, Claim management
Language skills: Fluent in writing and speaking English is mandatory. Responsibilities and
specific duties:
The Assistant Resident Engineer is a duplicate function of the Resident Engineer and the duties shared between them.
Experience Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- Proven experience in engineering or construction management, preferably in a similar role.
- Familiarity with project management processes and construction methods.
Skills:
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).
Knowledge:
- Understanding of engineering principles and building codes.
- Knowledge of contract administration and quality assurance processes.
Problem-Solving:
- Ability to identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Teamwork:
- Ability to work effectively within a team and coordinate with various stakeholders.
Project Management:
- Familiarity with scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Certifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is a plus.
Language:
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
